How MTL Soccer Works
New to MTL Soccer? Here’s how the program works from registration to game day.
Registration
Registration opens before each season (spring, summer, fall). You’ll sign up through TeamSnap, which is the platform MTL uses to manage teams, schedules, and communication — Fall 2026 registration is open now.
Early-bird pricing is typically available for a limited window before the season starts — see the home page for current rates. Watch for announcements on Facebook and Instagram.

How Teams Are Built
After registration closes, MTL organizers assign players to teams. You’ll receive a TeamSnap invitation for your child’s team with your coach’s contact information.
- Teams are assigned by the league — you cannot request a specific team
- Coaches are volunteers, often parents from the team
- If you’re interested in coaching, let MTL know during registration or email MTLsoccer@gmail.com
Schedules & Time Slots
Game schedules are published in TeamSnap before the season starts. Your coach will share the schedule with the team.
How time slots work: Some age groups have enough teams for multiple time slots on game day. Your team will be assigned to a specific slot — but it may vary from week to week. For example, one week your team might play at 9:00 AM and the next at 10:30 AM. Always check TeamSnap for your upcoming game time.
Some teams may have a consistent weekly time while others rotate between slots depending on the number of teams and field availability.
The Season
A typical season runs 8-10 weeks. Each week:
- Little Kickers — 25 minutes of practice followed by a 25-minute game
- 1st/2nd Grade — two 20-minute halves
- 3rd-6th Grade — two 25-minute halves
